1984年毕业于南京大学地质系放射性矿产地质专业（理学学士）；1987年毕业于中国科学院地球化学研究所地球化学专业（理学硕士）；2001年毕业于加拿大魁北克大学希库提米分校(Universit du Qu bec Chicoutimi)应用科学系矿产资源专业（理学博士）。

1987年7月至1992年2月在冶金工业部天津地质研究院工作，先后任助理工程师和工程师；1992年3月起至今在中国科学院广州地球化学研究所，先后任助理研究员、副研究员和研究员。
